Outsourcing – Recipe for Success or  Recipe for Disaster?

Guest Speaker: Deb Durocher, TELUS Business Solutions

Companies are under a lot of pressure to do more with less. Many companies have either looked at outsourcing or are considering it – but they have no idea how to go about it successfully. Evaluating whether you are “ready” to consider it and how to go about selecting an outsource partner are both key components for success.

If you want to learn more about how to conduct this evaluation, determine if outsourcing is right for you, and actually outsource successfully without endangering your customers’ experience , plan on attending the breakfast meeting on May 19th, 2010.

The presentation will focus on:

  • Is Outsourcing right for you?
  • How do you do a detailed evaluation of a potential partner?
  • How do you transition work to an Outsourcer successfully?
  • How do you ensure ongoing quality of work and a strong working relationship with your Outsource partner?

Deb joined TELUS in 1999 as a Senior Client Service Manager for the largest IT Outsourcing customer in the TELUS portfolio. In 2000, Deb moved on to become the Director of Enterprise Service Desk. Deb ran the 300+ seat National Service Desk for approx. 8 years, at which point she moved into her current role as Director, Strategy and Projects. She was responsible for her team’s first foray into Outsourcing in 2007 and has remained responsible for the overall NSA outsourcing program since that time.
